Author Registration
All presenting authors MUST register and pay for their attendance at the
conference.
Papers
Papers are sought for oral presentation on all aspects of military
communications and information systems, especially those focusing
on the Conference themes.
All papers will be refereed (on the full paper.) Authors will be advised in writing of acceptance or non acceptance of their paper.
Papers must:
- be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc) format;
- be no more than six pages in length without prior
agreement of the organisers;
- conform to the requirements of the conference template (MILCIS_Shell.doc);
- only contain material that is unclassified and not commercially sensitive;
and
- be submitted via the automatic submission system (submit here).

Authors of selected papers will be invited to publish
their paper in a special edition of the Journal of Battlefield Technology.
Prizes
A prize will be offered for the best paper
and best student paper at the conference.
Oral Presentations
Fifteen minutes will be allocated for oral presentations with 5 minutes
for questions. Papers are to be presented using PowerPoint
XP2000 projection. Overhead transparencies will not be permitted. Computers and
projection facilities will be provided in all presentation rooms.
Final presentations are to be submitted by
Monday 10 November 2008. The presentation schedule will be promulgated early
October 2008.
Conference Proceedings
All accepted refereed papers will be published as Conference Proceedings
on the MilCIS web site. Hard-bound copies of paper abstracts will be published in
the Conference Program.
Call for Tutorials
Topics for tutorials are sought on pertinent aspects of military
communications and information systems, especially those focusing on the
Conference themes. Proposals for a tutorial may be sent to
tutorial@milcis.com.au by 7th
May 2008.
Information for Australian University Authors
Full papers will be refereed in line with the DEST requirements for and
E1 conference paper.
